A newlywed Canadian couple's wedding photo is causing quite a whirl on the Internet. Pun entirely intended. Photographer Colleen Niska excitedly shared a series of unbelievable wedding photos on her Facebook page yesterday that show a bride and groom kissing as a tornado swirled behind them.
"I've dreamed about a day like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could NOT wait to post these!" Niska wrote on Facebook. "Pretty sure this will only happen once in my lifetime!"
If the couple looks blissfully unaware of the natural phenomenon happening in the distance, then chalk it up to good photography.

"We just happened to be at the right place at the right time in good old Saskatchewan, Canada," Niska told BuzzFeed of the opportune moment. "We went out to take pictures, just me and the bride and groom, and happen to spot the funnel cloud close by."
"We were a long ways from it and so we weren't frightened or anything and it wasn't heading in our direction," she said. "We were pretty excited as none of us had witnessed a tornado before and thought it was a pretty cool opportunity. I wasn't going to pass on it!"

Unsurprisingly, the highly unusual wedding photo shoot has gone viral on Facebook. Niska's post has more than 13,000 shares and 19,000 likes, not to mention some clever comments. "Colleen I also want a tornado in my wedding pics in Aug please," one user jokingly wrote, while another made the requisite Wizard of Oz reference. "Too bad she isn't wearing some sparkly red shoes ;)," another wrote.
A well-taken and -composed wedding photo that also captures a once-in-a-lifetime moment? We're not surprised it's caught on so quickly!
