The mother of all things funny, TV personality Joan Rivers likes to talk a lot. And this past Monday, June 30, the Fashion Police host used her expert (and oftentimes gut-wrenchingly hilarious) presentation skills to officiate an impromptu same-sex wedding during her book tour at a New York City Barnes & Noble.
Breaking from promotion for her new book, Diary of a Mad Diva, she led the ceremony for longtime couple Jed Ryan and Joe Aiello.
"While we were waiting, we were reading the book," Aiello told to Entertainment Tonight. "She had mentioned being an ordained minister, and I jokingly asked [his partner], 'Do you think it's true? Maybe she'll marry us.' And he goes, 'Ask her!' So... I did."

"Neither one of us thought she'd say yes!" Ryan added.
Funny enough, this isn't Joan's first time helping a couple tie the knot. On Valentine's Day 2013 she married flower and event designer Preston Bailey to longtime partner Theo Bleckmann in a midnight ceremony at the top of the Empire State building.
While the most recent wedding featured less pomp and circumstance than the first, it wasn't without personality or a few good laughs. And surprisingly enough, it was the grooms who made us giggle the most. She asked each man: "Do the two of you understand what marriage is about? Adoring each other, standing behind each other, and forsaking all others, and really, honest to God, this is it, forever." The two spontaneous lovebirds both replied with a version of "Yeah, I guess I will."
