One of the biggest challenges in deciding whether to have a destination wedding is figuring out how to involve your family and friends. The challenge was particularly hard for Kimberly Harrigan, 28, and Justin Kingsbury, 30, who jetted to Maui, Hawaii, for their wedding on November 18th, 2013. "Justin knows how important family is to me, so when he proposed, he asked my dad, my three brothers, and my oldest nephew for my hand in marriage," says Kimberly. But the couple came up with a creative way to involve guests beyond the 30 who joined them in Hawaii, as well as two more ideas we absolutely love. Karma Hill captured the details so Justin and Kimberly could share their wedding with family, friends, and now brides-to-be worldwide.

Involve everyone you love
How did the couple share their wedding day with friends and family around the world? "We streamed the ceremony via web cam!" reveals the bride. "I was unsure if people would want to watch the ceremony on their computers from far away, but I was so excited to hear that people were going to get together and have viewing parties!" Guests from all over the world logged in to be a part of the wedding, even though they couldn't be there in person

Keep the memories close
The bride's bouquet was a mix of green cymbidium orchids and white roses. The stems were wrapped with white ribbon, and finished with a picture of Kimberly's late grandmother. "On the way to the ceremony, we realized I'd forgotten the picture," Kimberly says. "We had to go back and get it, which was so fitting. My grandma was always late, and always making other people late, so of course she made me late on my wedding day!"
Justin wore his late grandfather's cufflinks and carried his pocket watch. He added his photo inside the watch to have his grandfather by his side.
Embrace your location
Instead of escort cards, Kimberly and Justin had the guests' table assignments written on a surfboard. "It added a little extra Hawaii flavor," she says.
So how do Justin and Kimberly feel about their slightly unconventional wedding choice? "We were so glad to be able to share the wedding with everyone, even if they couldn't be there in person," she says. "We did what would make the day special for us. There will always be people with different ideas, but it's your day, so make it what you want!"
