A new stone has been stealing the spotlight in the home arena. With its sophisticated finish, marble is both classic and modern, while at the same time clean and cool. And contrary to popular belief, marble is no longer reserved simply for kitchen countertops.
The luxe look can be incorporated in practically every corner of a home, from lamps to tabletop to decorative accessories and trays. While it's certainly not a traditional go-to when you think about your wedding registry, modern couples should consider items made of the luxe stone. Not only is it versatile, but its gender neutral. Translation: Your soon-to-be-husband will appreciate it, too.

Some of our favorite marble-inspired accents this season include small décor investment pieces like octagon plates, along with more imaginative accents in unlikely places like a classic kitchen cutting board. Other pieces, however, take on marble's sleek factor in the shape of table lamps, and even a novel duvet cover featuring a marble print. (Probably not what your grandmother imagined for your registry bedding.)
So while some may associate marble with an uninspired bathroom or even an art history class, our favorite marble-inspired registry picks should prove that assumption wrong.
