The rumors were true! Just three weeks after reports swirled that Courteney Cox got engaged to her Snow Patrol rocker boyfriend Johnny McDaid, the Friends alumna herself confirmed the happy news on her Twitter.

Their joint social media announcement is a formality at this point, as many sources close to the couple all but confirmed their engagement earlier this month.

"Johnny loves her [Courteney's] daughter Coco, and he wants to marry Courteney," a source told The New York Post's Page Six. "They have discussed getting engaged and everyone thinks it is going to happen."
Mutual friend Ed Sheeran introduced the happy couple last year, and Sheeran, along with their other high-profile friends, have reportedly been thrilled with the relationship ever since. "She met Johnny through Ed Sheeran, who is friends with Jennifer Aniston. All of Courteney's friends love Johnny, which is great because Jen wasn't so fond of David Arquette," the source added.
For Cox's part, she's been vocal about her relationship. "I couldn't be happier. He supports me in every way," she said at the premiere for her film Just Before I Go in April. "He supports me creatively. He really believed in the movie...and not just because he likes me, though I know that helps."
The rocker is equally as laudatory of his actress fiancée. "She gets music. She gets art. She gets the way a scene gets constructed, the way dialogue works. And she puts it all together in her mind and then explains it to the world and makes movies that make people laugh and cry, squirm and jump, all those things."
Congratulations to the happy couple! Now, let us see the ring!
