It's been a whirlwind year and a half for country singer Kelly Clarkson. First, she got engaged to Nashville-based talent manager Brandon Blackstock. Then, the two released some gorgeous engagement photos and enjoyed their betrothal to its fullest. She then dropped the bomb with a surprise wedding (which, she warned us she would do), followed by a very swift newlywed pregnancy announcement. And just eight days ago she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, River Rose!

Not only did the original American Idol announce her daughter's birth on Twitter today, she released a stunning photo of her bundle of joy with the caption: "Here is our beautiful baby girl River Rose; 6lbs 6oz, 18 inches, and the greatest thing on the planet"

In the photo, River Rose (she's a country star in the making with that name!) is fast asleep in a vintage red carriage — adorned with lace-y sheets — and is rocking a delicate white headband with a yellow flower. In the background is a blurred home that we're guessing (and hoping!) is the Clarkson-Blackstock residence. If so, that looks like one picturesque Southern estate.
River Rose is Kelly's first child, and Brandon's third. Like the first picture of her daughter, Kelly announced her birth and thank you's via Twitter on June 12th as well. "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th!" Clarkson posted to her Twitter feed on June 14. "Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"
Congrats again to Kelly and her brand-new-husband Brandon. We can't wait for more adorable baby pictures!
