It's the bride's day, but a wedding is a monumental occasion for the mother of the bride too. And most MOBs like to go out of their way to make their daughter's day extra memorable. Here, we rounded up some ways our readers' moms went the extra mile to make sure their daughters knew how much they meant to them. Warning: You may want to grab a box of tissues.
"My mom used to visit a stationery store with my great-grandmother (Nana), and every time they went my Nana would pick up a particular scrapbook of Papyrus paper, but she never bought it. One day my mom told Nana she should buy it because she always looks at it. Nana said she didn't know what to do with it. Then she told my mom she would buy it and give it to her to save for my wedding day because she knew she wouldn't be alive to celebrate it with me. So for my wedding, my mom gave me the most meaningful present — a gift from my great-grandmother who had passed away more than 13 years prior. Nana was a big part of my life growing up, and it was so precious. Many happy tears were shed after receiving that gift." — Lauren R.

"On my wedding night, my mom sent someone to our hotel room to drop off a couple vases of flowers, candles, two plates of food, and the top of the cake.They waited in the room until we pulled into the parking lot, then lit the candles and ran out the back hallway before we walked in! It was so sweet of her to arrange a romantic candlelit dinner for us because she knew we would be hungry and we had to wait until the next night before we went on our actual honeymoon. "My mom unexpectedly passed away February of 2012. The week before she passed, I was home from work because of pneumonia, and she and I sat on the couch on the computer and planned my entire wedding, down to my gown, not realizing she would not be attending.
