They'll always have Paris: After months of legitimate reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will marry on May 24 in France, news is circulating that the couple actually plans to tie the knot in Florence, Italy, instead.
According to People, Kimye's wedding extravaganza will still likely begin in France, with pre-wedding activities occurring there, before the couple transports their guests to Italy for the rest of the celebration.
The duo apparently selected the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, a Renaissance-era fortress, for their nuptials. The historic site reopened to the public in 2013 after five years of renovations and is known for its panoramas and contemporary art collection, People states.

Italian news outlets have also identified the Forte di Belvedere as the wedding site, and state that Kimye could spend around 300,000 euros (that's $411,150) to rent out the property. This latest venue news picked up steam after West spent "several days" in Florence this week, and met with Italian designer Ermanno Scervino at his atelier. Perhaps both Kim and Kanye (and even baby North) will wear his designs next weekend? Only time will tell!
Though a Parisian wedding would have made perfect sense for this over-the-top couple, Florence may be even more on the nose. "I adore Florence," West told the city's La Nazione newspaper on May 16. "I love Italy and the Italian lifestyle. To tell you the truth, I already came to the banks of the Arno [river] with Kim last year, just the two of us, incognito."
"I think that our daughter North was conceived here among the Renaissance masterpieces," he continued. "It was our first honeymoon. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world — for me the most beautiful in Europe."
So...that settles the question of "Why Florence?" It's a gorgeous honeymoon and destination wedding venue, but points for personal significance, too.
