Just when we thought that Prince William and Kate Middleton's third anniversary would dovetail nicely with a potential engagement between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas, his girlfriend of nearly two years, it seems that that dream won't become a reality. According to People, Harry recently confided in friends that things were not going well with Bonas.
"He found her too needy and it just wasn't working out," a source close to the prince told People.
Additional sources spoke to the Telegraph, saying, "The relationship has certainly at least paused for a breather. It is virtually impossible to have a successful romance and relationship in the full glare of the world's media."

Unsurprisingly, intense public pressure also caused Wills and Kate's 2007 breakup, which, luckily, only lasted a few months. We wouldn't be surprised if, like his older brother, Harry resumes his relationship after some time apart.
A source told Us Weekly essentially as much. "They're off, but I don't think it's for good," the source said of the prince and Bonas, to whom he was introduced by his cousin, Princess Eugenie. "They hit a rocky patch and this decision is the result of that. Harry is the type to want to take breathers and then try again."
After all, engagement rumors were rampant just last month, when E! News reported that the fun-loving duo were beginning to discuss marriage. "Harry and Cressida have made a point of talking about marriage and what changes they're going to have to make to their life as of late. According to friends of Cressida's, the couple has decided to try and keep their semi-normal lifestyle as long as physically possible." The story seemed to confirm that Harry and his eligible bachelorette (as named by Britain's Tatler magazine last year) would have the next royal wedding.
For now, we'll console ourselves by imagining that Harry will take up with the still-unmarried Pippa Middleton next. Hey, girls can dream, can't they?
