One of the most popular trends we spotted on the Spring 2015 Bridal Runway? Statement necklines. Designers including Naeem Khan, Christos, Vera Wang, and more sent dresses featuring everything from bejeweled boatnecks and plunging V-necks to cool collars floating down their runways.
Finding the perfect hairstyle to complement these statement-making tops can be tough. Should you spotlight it by rocking an updo or accent it with long, curly locks? To help you find the best look for the trendy silhouettes, we turned to Nina Dimachki, Kérastase Paris Artistic Design Director and key hair stylist for several bridal runway shows including Monique Lhuillier and Carolina Herrera.
Here, her picks for the best 'dos when you say "I do" in a gown with a bold neckline. (Some of our favorite celebrities are here to help, too!)
Illusion Neck
"A half-updo is perfect because it can showcase any embellishment, while still giving off a romantic feel," explains Dimachki. Even if there's no extra detailing, a soft half-up-half-down style (just like our cover girl Olivia Palermo's pretty 'do pictured above) is a pretty way to draw attention to the neck. "But feel free to get creative with this style, especially if the illusion neck is a simple mesh," encourages Dimachki. "There's really no 'wrong' way to wear your hair."

Deep V-Neckline
Your hairstyle depends on the aesthetic of the gown, explains Dimachki. "If it's a simple, unembellished crepe or silk, go for a deep side part and wear it down with old-Hollywood waves. That look is timeless and is as sexy as it is elegant," she says of look, which is regularly spotted on stars including Kate Hudson. "If the gown has more of a bohemian feel, go with a slightly off-center part and a polished version of beach waves." No matter what, it's important to wear your hair down with this cut since it takes the eye vertically, which really flatters a V-neck.

Bejewled/Statement Neck
"The neckline here is definitely your signature piece, and you don't want your hair to take away from that," says Dimachki. "Make sure your 'do is up and off your face." Try a French Twist or another simple style (like Emma Watson's cool updo). "A very high updo can actually distract from this neckline and anything low might snag if there are any embellishments," she explains. Though there is some room for creativity: Play with the texture rather than the style. Ask your hairstylist to prep with a beach or texturing spray before putting it up.

Boatneck
A boatneck has a beautiful grazing effect that is very feminine, but it also runs the risk of looking too serious. In order to give the neckline a more modern vibe, Dimachki suggests sporting a sculpted ponytail, similar to Jennifer Aniston's. "Make sure there's a little bit of volume at the crown and finish the look by taking a piece of hair and wrapping it around the ponytail for added polish."

High Collar/Turtleneck
"You can either wear the hair up in a high bun at the crown for a very regal look or at the nape of the neck in a lower chignon for something softer and more romantic," advises Dimachki. "Either way, make sure you wear the hair up in order to showcase the beautiful detailing. An updo also elongates the neck, which enhances the silhouette of the dress." Nicole Richie, Queen of the topknot, demonstrates how to pull off the look effortlessly.
