Now that Stacy Keibler is happily married, is it finally time for her ex-boyfriend George Clooney to settle down? It seems that his new girlfriend, British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, may be the woman to make an honest man out of the eternally-eligible bachelor.

The couple, who has been together for about a month, are already vacationing together — they're currently on a whirlwind trip through Tanzania and the Seychelles.

Though we get excited every time Clooney steps out with a new girl, we know we shouldn't be too optimistic about him saying "I do" again. In early 2011, he referenced his short-lived union with actress Talia Balsam (who is now married to her Mad Men co-star John Slattery) when Piers Morgan asked if he wanted to emulate his parents' 50-plus-years-strong marriage.

"I hate to blow your whole news story," Clooney said of his marriage, which lasted from 1989 to 1993. "But I was married, so I gave it a shot." He went on to explain that his first and only marriage should have "proven how good I was at it."

Clooney's reasoning makes sense, but if avowed bachelor Adam Levine proposed to Behati Prinsloo, there's a possibility that the right woman could change Clooney's mind. And we have a strong suspicion that Alamuddin has what it takes, here's why:

1. She's got the brains. Clooney is the whole package: He's handsome, talented, successful, and intelligent. Alamuddin's equal smarts are a big reason why we think their relationship will last. Fluent in French, Arabic, and English, she earned an English law degree at Oxford University and also studied at NYU's School of Law in 2000. For one semester, she worked as a student law clerk for now-Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor. After graduating, she joined the litigation department of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and practiced U.S. and international law there for three years. "She's very smart and can hold a conversation," an Us Weekly source says.

2. She's got the passion. Clooney is a known humanitarian, making headlines over the years with his thoughtful campaign for Darfur and activism for Haiti. Alamuddin specializes in international law, human rights, extradition, and criminal law for a living. She has been appointed to numerous U.N. commissions and is an advisor to former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Syria. If they stick together for the long haul, they can be a Brangelina-like activist couple.

3. She's got the beauty. The two-time Sexiest Man Alive has had his share of beauties, and Alamuddin is no exception. Last year, a Tumblr blog that tracks what it calls "barrister hotties" (a type of lawyer) voted her London's hottest female barrister.

4. She's got the independence. Though they make headlines everywhere they go, she doesn't need to be around him to advance her career. "She isn't someone who is pursuing a career in acting or entertainment," a source tells People. "She's on his level."
