Girls: They're just like us! Newly-engaged Allison Williams stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers last night and dished on her stunning new engagement ring!
"I am obsessed with it," she said of her ring after Meyers congratulated her on her betrothal to CollegeHumor.com founder Ricky Van Veen. "I stare at it a lot."
We so relate! What woman isn't completely infatuated with her ring right after getting engaged? Williams' rock is particularly gorgeous though; the huge round-cut diamond is flanked by two baguettes. It's a completely classic design that perfectly fits her sophisticated style.
Williams also revealed that Van Veen's proposal was unexpected. "The funniest thing about that is I consider myself someone who is impossible to surprise, and yet I am constantly surprised by things. But I walk around the world poised and ready for a surprise."
Still, her boyfriend of three years caught her off-guard. "[It was] a total surprise and the best kind of surprise," Williams said. "We're really, really thrilled. It feels a little different. The investment is there. It just changes the stakes, clearly. But it's really fun."
Not only did getting engaged change the stakes in her relationship, it made her view The Bachelor in a brand-new light. She called the ABC show her favorite reality dating program and touched on the expectation that the final couple is always expected to get engaged.
"Suddenly the show feels real! I understand the stakes for the first time ever, which is so weird because I have empathy, but for some reason it's never occurred to me, like, 'They're getting engaged on this show!'" Williams said. "I was filled with anxiety for the contestants."
