We're not ashamed to admit it: We watch the Oscars mainly to see what our favorite celebrities wear on the red carpet. And by favorite celebrities, we of course mean the most-loved ladies in Hollywood and the wedding-worthy gowns they choose. But this year, we couldn't help but notice the stylish, even whimsical, choices of Tinseltown's leading men! Looking dapper in their trendy tuxes, the Oscar nominees and presenters pulled out all of the stops with some snazzy looking menswear at this year's Academy Awards. Grooms take note: these stylish suits are a fun, fashionable option for your wedding. Here, our favorite menswear looks from the Oscars red carpet:

Jared Leto, Ryan Seacrest, and Matthew McConaughey in White

If you watch Downton Abbey then you know a man in white means serious business. Back in the day, "white tie" meant the ultimate in formal attire. Last night, Jared Leto, Ryan Seacrest, and Matthew McConaughey showed America how to make this traditional tux look contemporary.

For a more bohemian wedding, grooms can learn a lesson from Leto, who updated his proper ensemble with a whimsical garnet bowtie and flashy buttons.

Traditional grooms will more likely opt for Seacrest or McConaughey's take on the trend: Crisp, clean white jacket with a black bowtie and black pants. We love this look for a country club affair.

Jason Sudeikis and Kevin Spacey in Navy

Just a shade more stylish than basic black, these two actors looked fine last night in navy blue tuxes. Navy is a more contemporary choice for a formal wedding and goes with just about anything. We love the way both men mixed navy with black—Sudeikis with his black patent leather shoes and bowtie, and Spacey with his lapels. Whether your groom goes for a deep navy or a more indigo blue hue, the final effect is elegant and stylish. And if you're not into going full-on formal, a lighter navy suit works well for a preppy New England wedding or beach nuptials.

Chris Hemsworth in Burgundy

Hemsworth always looks hunky, and last night's Academy Awards was no exception, thanks to his nontraditional choice of a burgundy jacket. This rich, on-trend color is begging to be worn at a winter wedding. We're loving the sharp contrast of the black bowtie, lapel, and buttons!

Pharrell in Shorts

Leave it to Pharrell, the coolest guy in town, to rock knee-length Lanvin shorts at the Oscars. Critics aside, this whimsical choice is great for a groom with a sense of humor. With formal touches such as a bowtie and tuxedo jacket, the shorts are great for a casual summer wedding and a groom with a ton of personality. And if you don't think the shorts are for you, they might be a good choice for your gregarious groomsmen.
