He put an engagement ring on your finger, but would you put one on his? Surprisingly, people are buzzing about "mangagement" rings these days—the concept of engagement rings for men.

More than one star has embraced the idea: Michael Buble was spotted wearing his ring months before his wedding to his Argentinian fiancée, and reportedly told a Canadian audience this about the custom: "The boy also wears the engagement ring. That's what she tells me anyway." And, when actress and singer Jennifer Hudson's boyfriend proposed to her, she responded with a five-carat Neil Lane diamond ring for him to wear, too.
Those (adorable!) guys might be in the minority, but a survey of engaged couples conducted last year by Robbins Brothers, a national jewelry chain, revealed some surprising thoughts on wedding traditions: More than half of the male respondents (67 percent, to be exact) said they'd definitely be "open" to wearing an engagement ring.

It's already a cultural practice in some countries. Kevin, a married man in South Orange, NJ, shares, "My wife is Swedish, and in Sweden it's tradition for the man to wear an engagement ring. So when we got engaged, I wanted to wear one, too. It wasn't like a big diamond or anything, it was my wedding band—I just put it on early. I thought it was a nice nod to her culture, and she very much appreciated that I was willing to do it."
