All signs have been pointing towards engagement lately for on-again-off-again musical couple Katy Perry and John Mayer. The most recent rumor-sparking act? Perry was spotted leaving the couple's Valentine's Day celebration this past weekend rocking a conspicuous ring on that finger, People StyleWatch reports.
This isn't the first time Perry and Mayer have toyed with our hearts: Last Valentine's the "Dark Horse" singer showed off a one-of-a-kind Daniel Gibbings heart-shaped ruby ring gifted from her man. And just like the latest sparkler, she toted this gem on her left-hand ring finger, as well. Then, this past November, Perry was spotted wearing a cushion-cut ring on that same hotbed finger for the MTV EMA's. As much as it pains us to speculate yet again, maybe the third time's the charm?
We sure hope so! And it definitely seems like the couple's relationship has been heating up over the past few months. Back in November, Perry dished in W magazine's November issue that "I actually am dating my crush. I had a crush on him for a long time." Then, US Weekly reported it was "only a matter of time" until Mayer proposes. And how can we forget the steamy cover for their duet, "Who You Love?" (Never mind the music video, in which the pair ride a bull together while singing.) Mayer even tweeted this the day after Valentine's:

And hopefully, this ring (which, from the shot on People StyleWatch, looks like an oval-cut, Art Deco-inspired bauble), means our prediction has come true.
