Dating, engaged, or already married, it's impossible not to acknowledge the fact that, increasingly, many of us look to Facebook to define our relationships. Let's face it, haven't we all wondered whether we're "In a Relationship" with a special someone or stuck with the dreaded "It's Complicated" at one time or another? For better or worse, Facebook puts relationships under a spotlight.

Taking advantage of that ever-so-apparent period in all of our lives when our newsfeed is filled with engagement announcements and marriage status updates, TIME has now created a Facebook app to help determine when you should get married—based on the age your friends are when they get hitched. Fun!

In order to gather the data, the app collects the median age of your married, engaged, or domestically partnered friends who have listed their date of birth, including the year. Despite the disclosed possible inaccuracies—many Facebook users, including those who list their status as "Married," omit their birth year, and the app obviously can't account for those age-hiding folks—it's interesting (or depressing, depending on your point of view) to map where your marital status falls within your social circle's spectrum. Of course, maybe you're already painfully aware of the fact that many of your friends have passed you on the road to happily ever after. Or not.
