So often we talk about the thousands of designer wedding dresses available on the market—what they look like, what trends designers are following, even which gown would look best for your body type—but rarely do we get the chance to discuss the nitty gritty of wedding dress shopping. Bridal boutique owners from across the country share their top insider secrets, hottest local intel, and everything else you'll need to have a blast finding your wedding dress (Think mani-pedi with your mom, brunch with your bridesmaids, and cocktails with your besties!).
Breanna Doll and Anna Walsh opened their own bridal salon after experiencing the wedding dress-shopping experience firsthand. From info about their store to recent runway trends to watch out for, here are Doll and Walsh's wedding dress shopping tips (plus, fun places to visit in Denver when wedding dress shopping!).
Brides: Tell us about your store.
Anna Bé: We focus on finding new designers—we were one of the first stores to order gowns from Tara LaTour and Temperley London.
Brides: Favorite recent trend?
Anna Bé: The introduction of color. Blush and nude dresses looked great on the runway, but they're also a trend real brides want to wear. The colors are flattering and are a unique alternative to white.
Once you're done browsing your favorite gowns, here's where Doll and Walsh suggest you take your crew out in Denver, Colorado.
Brunch Lola "The modern Mexican food is delicious, and they have a great space for bridal-party brunches."
Afternoon Treat Little Man Ice Cream "This spot is just a few doors down from us and is housed inside a gigantic steel milk jug!"
Engagement Photos 1431 Delgany Street "There's a cool floral mural painted on the building—it's a great backdrop!"
