Thanks to an abundance of cultural icons, historical landmarks, stunning cities and scenic landscapes, as well as incredible food and luxurious amenities, planning a Europe honeymoon is about as romantic as it gets. Travel in the shoulder season. Forget about seeing Italy in the summer or a snowy Paris during the winter. During the spring and fall, airfare and hotel rates are lower, temperatures are milder, and you'll see more locals than tourists.
Choose your plastic wisely. Many credit cards ding you up to 3 percent in fees when you use them abroad. But some, like Chase Sapphire Preferred and AmEx Platinum, don't charge a penny extra. Call your company to get the scoop before you go. (Note: make sure you call to inform your credit card company you're travelling abroad! This way they won't think your European charges are fraudelent).

Don't overtip. Europeans often include a service charge on restaurant bills. In most countries, it's customary to leave five to 10 percent extra (in cash) to stellar waitstaff. In cabs, tip by rounding up to the nearest euro.
