"I loved that it was simple but with a fashion-forward twist," says Danielle of the J.Mendel gown she wore on her wedding day, completing the look with a white bouquet wrapped in a swatch of fabric from her mother's wedding dress. Mike sported a tuxedo by Armani.
The 3 p.m. ceremony took place at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, where nearly 80 members of the Keystone State Boychoir sang hymns like "Ave Maria" from the choir loft, accompanied by the Rittenhouse String Quartet. "Their angelic voices were such a highlight," recalls Danielle.
Following the ceremony, guests walked two blocks to The Franklin Institute for the reception, where they were invited to browse the science museum's many exhibits. Dinner was held beneath the soaring rotunda. Tables were decorated with a mix of antique vessels and candelabras filled with hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculuses, lilacs, astilbes, orchids, and sweet peas. All flowers were by Evantine Design.
