At this year's Golden Globes, A-Listers were not shy about showing some (and by that, we mean a lot) of skin. Thanks to the miracle of double-sided tape and the influence of the racy 70's-set American Hustle, necklines and backs plunged to near-J.Lo levels. But even among all those deep V-necks, we couldn't keep our eyes off the stars baring all above the neck—with gorgeous, stripped-down nude lips. Often paired with smoky eyes and bronzed, glowing skin, a pale, pinky or caramel-colored lip looks elegant and understated, not naked. We found the best of the barest from the red carpet.
Margot Robbie
The Wolf of Wall Street star (seen above) toned down her bombshell, slit-up-to-there white Gucci gown with a demure side-swept chignon and simple peach lipstick.

The host, Best Actress winner for her leading role in Parks and Recreation and universal dream best friend Poehler went even more natural with just nude lip liner and clear gloss by Votre Vu. Celeb makeup artist Brett Freedman, who created her subtle, bronzed look, says, "I wanted Amy's lashes to be the darkest thing on her face, so we went with a soft and neutral lip."

House of Cards's Connolly swiped on an easy caramel shade that let her red dress take center stage without washing out her fair skin.

But the shiniest pout of all belongs to Washington, who paired it with loose hair, a winged liner, and, of course, her new baby bump.
