Whether you're practicing "radical honesty" in your relationship or not, here are the most common things that women tend to hide from their husbands. Do you?
1. You Tell Their Best Friends Everything Yes, marriage is sacred, and when he tells you a secret, even a very intimate one, you keep it. But for most women, there is one exception: the best friend. Men often don't know just how open we can be with our closest gal pal (or pals plural). Just as men kiss and tell, we do too, and perhaps in greater detail, according to past research on friendship. Yes, you're not exactly going to tell him that you told your BFF about that one thing he told you in confidence, because to you it's still a secret kept. Your bestie is a vault, and you trust her.
2. You've Googled His Ex." Admit it, you've done it. For many women, the first time they catch wind of his ex's full name, insatiable curiosity takes over and a Google search commences. And it's not always about jealousy or insecurity. You may just be curious about his past before you. Nothing wrong with that, but just the same, we tend to not divulge the fact that we have googled his ex.
3. You Spend A Lot of Money on Waxing. A Lot Does he really need to know about your upkeep? We think not. And most women are happy keeping the don't-ask-don't tell policy alive and well in the department of facial and body hair maintenance.
4. You Get Hit On at Work, at the Gym, at Starbucks... It doesn't matter if there's a wedding ring on your finger or not, you're a beautiful woman in the world, and men are going to notice. That's natural, normal, and a part of life. And, for many women, being found attractive by men other than their husbands is nothing more than a nice ego boost. But will we tell our husband every time it happens? Um, no. Men can be...jealous, and we've learned not to spill the beans when it comes to other guys' cat calls and compliments.
