So, you love your engagement ring and your wedding ring. Who doesn't?! But should you wear them both all of the time? Our wedding etiquette experts are here to answer your ring questions in our daily post.
Do I have to wear my engagement ring and my wedding ring?
In ancient Rome, brides had two rings: a gold one for out in public and an iron one for wearing around the home. That's because they didn't want to expose one of their most prized possessions to the wear and tear of everyday life—something Roman women have in common with a lot of newlyweds today. According to Larissa Banting of Weddings Costa, many women wear their wedding bands full-time and pull out their engagement rings only on special occasions. In other words, if you're not comfortable rocking your rock on the bus every morning, feel free to leave it at home.
