When dreaming up the "beach chic" style of Brides Live Wedding, planning pros Mayra Castillo and Xochitl Gonzalez of AaB Creates wanted to make sure they drew inspiration from both the St. Regis Monarch Beach's Pacific Ocean views and the venue's glamorous aesthetic. By calling on sunset shades of pale pink, seashells, and other nautical details as well as gilded place settings, sequined linens, and more metallic confetti than we've ever seen, their vision for winning couple Briana and Jason's wedding day was the perfect marriage of seaside and sparkle. A few of our favorite details, below.

The embossed gray and pale pink invitation suite from Brides Fine Wedding Papers for Checkerboard set the "beach chic" tone right away. Small shell and starfish drawings on the invitations were a subtle nod to the ceremony's oceanfront location.

Briana and Jason said "I do" under an altar studded with festive seashells. Following their first kiss, eight confetti cannons fired to celebrate the newlyweds as they recessed down an aisle lined with shells.

The calligraphed escort cards were attached to mini compasses, which doubled as guest favors. Displayed on a table with ranunculus arrangements and seashells, the compasses were reminiscent of old-world seafaring.

Gold place settings sparkled against textural table linens provided by Nuage Designs and delicate seashells from California Seashell Company. The menu cards carried a similar seashell motif as the invitations.

A second, sweet wedding favor—hand-painted chocolate seashells elegantly wrapped in a clear plastic box with a cream ribbon—were waiting at guests' seats.

And finally, the pièce de résistance: a wedding cake by none other than Buddy Valastro (the star of TLC's Cake Boss). "I channeled the beach with fondant seashells and brown-sugar sand," he says. The three-tiered confection traveled 2,820 miles from New Jersey, by car, to make it in time for the wedding.
