We knew it was going to be a blowout wedding—with details of an estimated $9 million price tag, fake ruins and custom costumes for guests leaked in advance, there was no way that Napster founder Sean Parker's wedding to Alexandra Lenas would disappoint.
Turns out, it had all of that, plus an extra sprinkling of ethereal magic. Parker and his bride, with whom he has a young daughter, married in front of 300 friends and family members at the Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur, California, on Saturday. But neither the extensive guest list, the swanky venue, nor the image of the bride's striking Elie Saab wedding dress can capture the essence of their over-the-top nuptials.

The first released picture of the newlyweds shows them affectionately posing in the forest surroundings of Big Sur, which, judging from the photo, resembles a set from Game of Thrones—even though Parker shot down rumors of a "themed" wedding in April. Lenas wore an ivory and gold Elie Saab gown with long sleeves and a dramatic train that resembled the final dress the designer showed in his Fall 2012 Couture collection (above). She wore her hair in long, blonde waves and carried a bouquet of baby's breath. Her look was, appropriately (given the overall vibe), similar to Daenerys Targaryen from the hit HBO show.
The ceremony and reception featured the previously-rumored opulent decorations, including the ruins, a waterfall and long tables. Contrary to earlier reports, Parker is believed to have spent $10 million to turn the posh Ventana Inn & Spa into his dream wedding locale.
One source told the New York Post that guests "entered down a long trail and came to a big gate and entered this other world in a forest there'...They made the forest come alive."
The guest list included Sting and his wife Trudie, Allison Williams, Emma Watson, Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, Perry and Etty Farrell, Lucian Grainge, California Attorney General Kamela Harris, Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom and Newark Mayor Cory Booker.
The couple's daughter and the guests were dressed by costume designer Ngila Dickson, the costume designer for the Lord of the Rings movies, while Preston Bailey acted as florist. Guests enjoyed cake from Perfect Endings, but it sounds to us like the wedding was the perfect beginning to a truly enchanted union.
