Euler proposed to Ebba after a romantic scavenger hunt he'd arranged. The final clue led Ebba to the Trump Hotel, where she was surprised with a gourmet dinner that was prepared by friends. "As we watched the Navy Pier fireworks, Euler presented me with a photo book he'd made that chronicled our relationship and then popped the question," recalls Ebba. Fourteen months later, the couple hosted their winter nuptials at the University Club of Chicago.
The 3:30 p.m. ceremony was held in the club's Cathedral Hall, which was decorated with floral arrangements on white pedestals. Cocktail hour following the ceremony was held in the library and featured passed hors d'oeuvres like phyllo pastry with sun-dried tomatoes and goat cheese. Tables were topped with champagne linens, candles, and centerpieces of roses, orchids, ranunculuses, and branches. All flowers were by Blumen Floral & Event Design.
After dinner, the dance floor was packed with guests grooving the entire evening. "At one point, a dance-off broke out, with Euler's brother Nahba leading the charge," recalls Ebba. "It was such a treat to look around the dance floor and be surrounded by dear friends and family who all seemed to be having a great time."
