In a place called New York City, ice skater Johnny Weir married Victor Voronov in a courthouse ceremony on Dec. 30. But in a place called Johnny Weir's Fantasy World, that's not quite how the story goes. Talking to Out magazine, the star shared his dreams for a wintry Russian wedding complete with a decadent seafood spread and an A-list performer. Weir may have his way still when he and Voronov host a party in July to celebrate their New Year nuptials—although an ice-centric theme might pose a challenge, in the middle of summer.
Location: The Moscow suburb of Rublevka in a park in the middle of winter.
Attire: White tuxedos and bowties. Viktor & Rolf for me, and Tom Ford or Dior Homme for him... Guests would be given a fur—so they don't freeze.
Flowers: Peonies, white roses, and birch branches.
Wedding cake: A three-tiered seafood platter from Balthazar, and I wouldn't hate a red velvet cupcake moment.
Wedding singer: Christina Aguilera, obviously.
First dance: Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World," then "Hava Nagila" and the Hora.
Honeymoon: Somewhere Vitya could scuba-dive, and I could get a tan.
