Jackie and Chris grew up in the same small Connecticut town. They played in the same parks, haunted the same ice cream shops, cheered at the same football games. Yet somehow, romance never bloomed.

College separated the pair. Jackie attended a Big 10 school—Chris entered West Point. When he returned home from serving as an Army Ranger, the pair's paths crossed again in their hometown. They've been together ever since, they say.

While Chris donned his military uniform for the couple's wedding ceremony, he changed into more casual attire in time for their reception. He wore a navy sport coat with khaki slacks and a colorful Salvatore Ferragamo tie.

"We wanted to highlight all the colors of fall, the rustic elegance and purity of Maine, while remaining organic to our vintage style," the bride explains of the couple's choice of simple, natural reception decor, held at The Contented Sole.

Reception details were as organic as this couple's love story. Escort tags were stamped with fall-appropriate pumpkins, while tables were adorned with wildflowers, wooden crates, burlap and gourds. Table numbers were stamped with green ink and bordered with natural Kraft paper.

The Bradley Inn catered the couple's reception, scooping out "160 mini pumpkins for our butternut squash soup," the bride says. The couple also served surf-n-turf. "Enough said," the bride quips.
