Wedding dress shopping can be stressful. Between the endless selection of styles, shapes, and fabrics—where do you even begin?

David's Bridal Fashion Director Catalina Maddox-Wagers thinks you should start your search the second you get engaged. "My advice to brides as soon as they get engaged: Start shopping," Maddox-Wagers said. "There are some boutiques that take 6 months or more for custom-made gowns, and alterations can take three months on top of that."
