Brides.com: We were so excited to finally see Bella and Edward get married in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1. Describe the wedding gown you designed for Kristen Stewart's character.
Carolina Herrera: The dress is made from crepe satin. In the front there are two inserts finished with top stitching in silk thread. The neckline is a slight V, just enough to see the collar bones. The back is an opened oval shape veiled in tulle with a Chantilly lace border. The Chantilly lace was made especially for the dress.
Were you familiar with Twilight beforehand? Did you take any cues from Bella's personality before designing the dress?
Yes, I read the books and saw the films, and have been a fan ever since.
