A love of nature, travel, and yoga brought Maxine and Jon together—on "the wild and chaotic world of the Internet via an online dating website," they admit. "We were happily surprised to meet someone with such similar passions and perspectives about life." Their attraction was so immediate and magnetic that their friends joked they had become a real-life ad for online matchmaking.
When Jon proposed two years later, he sent Maxine on a "citywide scavenger hunt to all the places special to their relationship and life together," they recall. "The scavenger hunt was complete with friends and family members at each stop supplying the clues, which were written in beautiful poetry." The final clue brought Maxine to the couple's Minneapolis home, where Jon waited on one knee.

For their June wedding, the couple sought a venue that was "naturally beautiful and unique," they say. Camrose Hill Flower Studio and Farm—a former dairy farm with lush flower gardens and towering trees in Mideast Minnesota—fit the bill with its "natural beauty, history and sense of magic," they say. "We immediately felt drawn to the space, and the sense of mystery and magic that surrounds the farm."

"We loved the secret garden feel of the space," Maxine and Jon recall. "We also wanted a venue in which our guests could feel relaxed and have fun." The couple laid out lawn games for their guests to play, as well as arranged for a traveling photo booth that entertained all night long.

Maxine donned a rouched Alyne Bridal dress and accessorized with bedazzled BHLDN sandals and a classic crystal and pearl necklace. Her vintage-esque birdcage veil was adorned with silk flowers and pinned ever-so-slightly to the side of her soft curls.

Vintage-style sundresses from Delia*s were "a steal," the bride confesses, and were cinched at the waist with belts from Anthropologie.
The bride carried her favorite flower: white and blush-colored peonies laced with lady's mantle and roses, and tied with ivory lace.

Jon wore J. Crew nearly from head-to-toe, sporting a tan suit and gingham checkered shirt. But on his feet, he wore vintage Florsheim shoes and playful blue socks.

A casual reception was held beneath a white tent decorated with vintage chandeliers, candles, and string lights. Mason jars held a mix of roses and greens that looked as if they had been picked from a garden just moments before.

"Guests enjoyed fresh, Middle-Eastern and Indian food," including vegetarian curry and Moroccan couscous, the couple says. "Dinner was provided by Chowgirls Killer Catering, an eclectic Minneapolis-based catering company devoted to serving fresh, seasonal, and organic fare with bright flavors and beautiful presentations."
Maxine and Jon spent their honeymoon in Indonesia "with just a couple backpacks and our lust of adventure," they say, counting climbing mountains, camping on craters, a sunset yoga class, and scuba diving as their favorite memories.
