Chic Parisien Bridal Salon Owner TIps

From the best wedding dress styles available on the market to the latest designer trends and finding the best gowns for every body type, we're talking about the ins and out of wedding dress shopping with bridal boutique owners from across the country. They're sharing their top insider secrets, hottest local intel, and everything else you'll need to have a blast finding your wedding dress (Think mani-pedi with your mom, brunch with your bridesmaids, and cocktails with your besties!).

Catherine Fox Milian's mother founded the original Chic Parisien bridal boutique in Coral Gables, Florida, in 1969; since then, the shop has grown into an international bridal destination. Here, Millian dishes her top wedding dress shopping secrets:

Brides: Tell us about your store.

Catherine Fox Milian: We're the only shop in South Florida that carries Monique Lhuillier. And 60 percent of our customers come from South America—we get brides from all over Central America and the Caribbean.

Brides: What's a perennially popular silhouette?

About nine years ago, when we got our first strapless dress in the store—it was by Amsale—we all thought, No one is going to buy that! Now, when a bride asks to try on a style that's not strapless, we actually struggle to find a wide-enough selection.

Brides: What's a silhouette that's tricky to pull off? Empire-waist dresses. The skirt begins under the bustline and just hangs from there—it's not very flattering on most people.

As for where to go in South Florida while you're wedding dress shopping, here are Millian's suggestions:

Mani-pedi: Elemis Spa "The facials, hand and foot treatments, and massages are great for pre-wedding pampering."
Celebratory Drinks: Mariposa "This restaurant on the third floor of Coral Gables' Neiman Marcus store is an elegant place for a glass of champagne."
Local sights: Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
"This National Historic Landmark is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. You can get married there, too!"

Celebrities everywhere felt the love on Valentine's Day, but perhaps no one more so than Christina Aguilera, who, oh-so-appropriately, got engaged to boyfriend Matthew Rutler on the romantic holiday!

The Voice coach announced the big news on Twitter with a photo of her brand-new engagement ring (above) with the caption, "He asked and I said......"

See more: Design Your Dream Engagement Ring

A source confirmed the engagement to People not long after, telling the magazine, "They're very much in love and are really excited to take this next step!"

Rutler, a film producer whom Aguilera has dated since 2010, popped the question in Hawaii—one of the most romantic places in the world—on the most romantic day of the year. We applaud him on a job well done!

The ring itself appears to be a showstopper, just like its Grammy-winning owner. A source told People all about the unique multi-stone engagement ring, which Rutler helped design.

"Matt spent over a year designing the ring with the ring designer to represent their three-year journey together as a couple," the source said. "He has been planning this for a while and was just waiting for the right time—the ring has been done for months. Every single placement of each stone has a reason and meaning."

See more: Which Celebrity Couple Is Getting Married Next?

The symbolism goes beyond the stones—Rutler coordinated all of the bands' features, including some visible to only Aguilera, to create one of the most interesting pieces of engagement jewelry we've seen in a while! "The actual band weaves and intertwines [the] diamonds," the source added. "Every connecting criss-cross symbolizes how their paths crossed...the ring narrows at the base [to] reflect how their bond continues to grow closer and stronger over time. There are nine special multi-color gemstones that you cannot see. They all symbolize something meaningful to the couple. Christina is very spiritual and having the stones touch her actual skin will emit positive energies surrounding her at all times. They represent things like love, protection and healing."

In designing the sparkler, Rutler clearly thought about its significance, but he also took Aguilera's personal style into consideration. "He took two of Christina's favorite rings...to design something that incorporated [both designs] into one," the source said. "Similar to both their lives coming together as one."

Hey, Christina? This one sound like a keeper! We're ready for an incredibly personalized wedding next.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Your Cute Husband: How Your View of Him Changes Over the Month

Women's Taste in Men Changes in Month

Photo: Getty Images

If someone asked you what your "type" is when it comes to men, naturally, you'd describe your adorable husband, right? But researchers beg to differ. Interestingly, when scientists at UCLA analyzed the data from dozens of studies on female sexual preferences, they found that our taste in men changes as our hormones fluctuate during the month.

See more: Why Fighting Is No Big Deal for Happy Couples

For instance, researchers say that when we're ovulating, we're more likely to be attracted to traditionally "masculine" men (think: deep voice, tall, square jaw, and a more dominant personality). After ovulation? Well, science suggests that we're attracted to a different range of traits in men—good conversationalist, intelligence, and other qualities that make for great long-term partners.

The researchers say the somewhat-controversial findings have an evolutionary explanation. Our cave-woman ancestors, for instance, might have sought out more physically dominant partners in order to increase the odds of survival for themselves and their offspring.

"Women sometimes get a bad rap for being fickle, but the changes they experience are not arbitrary," said Martie Haselton, lead author of the study and a professor of psychology and communication studies at UCLA. "Women experience intricately patterned preference shifts even though they might not serve any function in the present."

See more: Is Your Hubby Taller Than You? What Research Says About Height & Love

While the findings may raise an eyebrow or two, the evidence is certainly interesting. The UCLA team points to a few compelling past studies, one that found that women who are married or dating men they view as "less sexy" are more likely to be attracted to men who are "very sexy" when they ovulate. In another study, women were instructed to sniff T-shirts of men, and, interestingly, during ovulation, their noses preferred the scent of traditionally masculine men. And, perhaps most fascinating of all, another study found that ovulating women were more likely to vote for President Obama than Senator McCain.

Slaves to our hormones we are not, but next time you find your heart beating a little faster when you see a movie starring The Rock, you'll know why!

Watch: Ines Di Santo's Fall 2014 Bridal Runway Show

The three words we'd use to best describe Ines Di Santo's Fall 2014 bridal runway show are glamour, glamour, and—you guessed it—more glamour. The luxe line featured major mermaid silhouettes and decadent details that made our hearts race.

Baroque lace appliqués, glamorous body-hugging bodices, and serious shimmer all had a moment on the latest Ines di Santo bridal runway. Even the shorter shifts were heavily embellished with floral appliqués, crystals, and feathers. Regal off-the-shoulder and illusion necklines were embellished with intricate beading. A few of the dresses featured light-as-air overlays over the tight silhouettes, which created a fresh, modern-meets-romantic effect.

Watch the glitzy collection walk the runway in our exclusive video, above, and don't forget to browse the entire Ines Di Santo Fall 2014 wedding dress collection in our slideshow.

Super-Secret Wedding Alert: Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Are Married!

Adam Brody Leighton Meester Secretly Married

Photo: Getty Images

Let the freaking out begin: Adam Brody and Leighton Meester are married! And they got hitched in a super-secret ceremony!

Just three months after we flipped out about Seth and Blair's engagement—which happened just 10 months into their romantic relationship, multiple sources at Us Weekly confirmed the news of the nuptials.

This is the first marriage for the O.C. and Gossip Girl alumns, both of whom starred in Josh Schwartz-created shows. The pair, who have yet to comment on their relationship publicly, met on the set of The Oranges. They also worked together on the soon-to-be-released comedy Life Partners.

With no further details currently circulating about the Hollywood pair's hush-hush ceremony, we're left with so many questions: Did Meester wear Vera Wang (as Blair did for her doomed marriage to Prince Louis), or did she go for a more whimsical blue Elie Saab (like her rushed-but-romantic "I do" to Chuck in the series finale)?! Did Brody use Seth Cohen's beloved bestie Captain Oats as best man? If not, please say that a few of our other O.C. and Gossip Girl faves—like Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley, Benjamin McKenzie, and Mischa Barton—were in attendance. At the very least, we pray that Peter Gallagher officiated, because, damn, can Sandy Cohen nail a coming-of-age monologue like no one else.

Regardless of our speculation, we wish the best to two of our favorite celebs—and we hope that their happily ever after doesn't follow a typical teen soap plotline...

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Brody!

7 Reasons You'll Love the New Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World

Four Seasons Orlando Honeymoon

The 444-room Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World may not be opening until August 3, but we've been excited about it for months. Here are seven reasons why we think it's going to be Central Florida's new hotspot for weddings and honeymoons.

1. Four Seasons + Disney = Playground for Grown-ups

When visiting Walt Disney World, staying on the grounds is usually easiest so you could take the free shuttle service to the parks. It's faster and you don't have to deal with the hassle of parking or a rental car. The Four Seasons Orlando has the same shuttle service, plus it has the tony service and chic touches you would expect from any Four Seasons. And there will be a character breakfast twice a week, if that's how you roll.

2. You might be able to see Epcot from your room

Voila! The photographic proof:

Four Seasons Orlando Honeymoon Epcot

3. ...or even catch Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks show.

Some of the rooms on the sixth floor and above have firework views from the terrace (below). And if yours doesn't, you can always check out the pyrotechnics from Capa, the resort's rooftop Spanish steakhouse (opening in September).

4. They're building a mini water park on the grounds

It's called Explorer Island, and it has a lazy river with rapids and a 242-foot waterslide. Sure, you may have to get in line with a few kids, but, as we said, it's got a lazy river and a 242-foot waterslide. A preview:

It also has a rock-climbing wall and an Italian gelateria (our favorite kind of -teria.)

5. There's also an adults-only pool. With cocktail staff serving adult milkshakes.

Because on your honeymoon or wedding weekend, you will need a kids-free zone.

6. It backs up onto a wildlife sanctuary

So on days you choose to take a break from the parks, you'll feel gloriously away from it all.

7. If you get married there, Mickey and Minnie will help you cut your wedding cake.

All you have to do is ask.

Karen likes to call her first date with Jonathan "semi-blind"—the two had worked together for months, but, amazingly, had never met in person. Back in 2004, she was working as a mortgage lender when Jonathan needed a loan. After she helped him get one he asked her out without ever having met her face-to-face. (While Karen had done a little Googling, Jonathan had no idea what she looked like!)

Eight years later, his loan became hers at an elegant, intimate wedding in Beverly Hills. Fifty guests watched as they tied the knot on the rooftop of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel (can you say Pretty Woman moment?) before a reception in the hotel's Royal Suite.

One January evening in 2010, Karen and Jonathan had dinner reservations at a top-tier restaurant, Il Sole. As they were getting dressed, Karen asked if Jonathan thought she should add any accessories to her look. "Here's an accessory that would work really well," he said, holding out an engagement ring. "Dinner was extra-special that night," Karen says.

Karen wore an off-the-shoulder gown by Romona Keveza, only the third dress she tried on. "I knew it was the dress Jonathan would most love to see me in," she says. She paired the glam silhouette with a bouquet of wild roses and lilies, sparkly peep-toe Jimmy Choo pumps, and a custom veil made from the same lace as the Duchess of Windsor's wedding dress. Talk about a future family heirloom!

The two were married in a Jewish ceremony, but Karen likes to say it was "semi-Jewish," explaining, "We were married under a chuppah by a rabbi and stepped on a glass after we were pronounced man and wife, but most of our guests weren't Jewish so our rabbi had to keep explaining why he was doing what he was doing." It took two tries for Jonathan to break the glass, Karen says. "The first time it came flying out of the velvet bag!"

Karen and Jonathan's flower girl was the 2-year-old daughter of a close friend (appropriately, her name was Violet). "She adores her 10-year-old brother Aiden, so he waved to her the whole time she as walking down the aisle to make her feel comfortable. When she saw her brother, she walked to him and began throwing all her petals in his direction!" Karen says.

The couple decked out the Beverly Wilshire's Royal Suite, which Karen loved for its swanky NYC penthouse feel, with white flowers. Every surface was covered with pale blooms, and the entranceway featured a cascade of white roses, orchids and lilies. Most stunning of all were the long dinner tables, which were laid with a 50-foot white runner made of 5,000 clumped white roses.

Karen placed Jo Malone orange blossom candles throughout the venue. "I've worn the scent daily since Jonathan and I started dating, so it's a subtle reminder of me wherever he goes," she says.

On their three-tier cake, the couple placed a figure representing Zeus, their beloved dog who had passed away from a brain tumor months before. They'd planned to make him their ring bearer, but instead, they asked guests to make a donation to the rescue where they'd gotten him in lieu of a gift.

Karen and Jonathan dated for over six years and were engaged for nearly three before they were married, so they had life together down pat by the wedding. "It isn't really the wedding that solidifies the relationship," she says, "but the everyday togetherness—being a team of two and being each other's solid ground—that makes a marriage."

So... Are Katy Perry and John Mayer Finally Engaged?

Are John Mayer and Katy Perry Engaged

Photo: Getty Images

All signs have been pointing towards engagement lately for on-again-off-again musical couple Katy Perry and John Mayer. The most recent rumor-sparking act? Perry was spotted leaving the couple's Valentine's Day celebration this past weekend rocking a conspicuous ring on that finger, People StyleWatch reports.

This isn't the first time Perry and Mayer have toyed with our hearts: Last Valentine's the "Dark Horse" singer showed off a one-of-a-kind Daniel Gibbings heart-shaped ruby ring gifted from her man. And just like the latest sparkler, she toted this gem on her left-hand ring finger, as well. Then, this past November, Perry was spotted wearing a cushion-cut ring on that same hotbed finger for the MTV EMA's. As much as it pains us to speculate yet again, maybe the third time's the charm?

We sure hope so! And it definitely seems like the couple's relationship has been heating up over the past few months. Back in November, Perry dished in W magazine's November issue that "I actually am dating my crush. I had a crush on him for a long time." Then, US Weekly reported it was "only a matter of time" until Mayer proposes. And how can we forget the steamy cover for their duet, "Who You Love?" (Never mind the music video, in which the pair ride a bull together while singing.) Mayer even tweeted this the day after Valentine's:

To put it simply: There's a reason we selected the pop-singing pair as a couple who we think will get engaged in 2014. And hopefully, this ring (which, from the shot on People StyleWatch, looks like an oval-cut, Art Deco-inspired bauble), means our prediction has come true.

How Can I Make Sure the Groomsmen Don't Get Too Rowdy at My Wedding?

taming rowdy groomsmen

Of course you want the groomsmen to have a good time at your wedding. But what if you're worried they're going to have a little too much fun (translation: and not be able to perform their groomsmen duties)? Our wedding etiquette experts are here to answer your questions in our daily post.

How can I make sure the groomsmen don't get too rowdy at the wedding?

If you're worried that some of the groomsmen are going to be unorganized, late to the wedding, or drunk before the ceremony even begins, then the first thing to do is talk with your groom about your concerns. Tread carefully, though, because these guys are his closest friends. Come prepared with facts ("remember how he acted at Tom and Whitney's wedding?") and avoid slamming their character ("he gets drunk all the time").

Once you've shared your concerns with your groom, then he should take steps to head off any potential trouble. He should talk to his buddies—and he should say these are his concerns, not yours (he shouldn't throw you under the bus!). He should place the most emphasis on what he wants them to do, rather than what he wants them not to do. It's also a good idea to give each groomsman a copy of the wedding-day schedule; this way they know exactly where and when they need to be throughout the day.

Clue your wedding vendors in on your concerns, too. Ask your planner or day-of coordinator to check in with the groomsmen the morning of the wedding to make sure they're ready on time. Talk to your caterer, as well, and if alcohol is a likely factor in their behavior, you may want to arrange for the beer or wine to be slow to arrive at their table, and their non-alcoholic choices to be abundant.

Lastly, don't forget to feed them! The wedding day is going to be a long, exhausting day for everyone involved, so be sure to provide breakfast and lunch, and pack extra snacks and drinks so that everyone is eating and sufficiently hydrated throughout the day. That way no one will be cranky, hungry, or too tipsy before the ceremony begins.

Perfect Wedding Foundation and How to Apply It

Photo: KT Merry

Aside from taking diligent care of your skin for the months leading up to your wedding—A.K.A. moisturizing and applying renewal and resurfacing masks like nobody's business—the key to any glowing wedding day makeup look is a proper foundation (there's a reason it's called foundation, after all). But with so many options available—liquid, mineral power, tinted BB and CC balms, and more—it's hard to know which one is right for your skin. Here's how to ace your base:

Liquid
Best for: All skin types. If shine's an issue, opt for an oil-free formula.
Coverage: Light to medium.
Tool tip: Giorgio Armani Cosmetics's Tim Quinn suggests tapping a few drops on the back of your hand, dipping in a foundation brush, and "painting" over your face from the center out.
Liquid foundation to try: Maestro Fusion Makeup SPF 15, $62, Giorgio Armani

Mineral Powder
Best for: Sensitive skin and anyone with rosacea or acne.
Coverage: Light but buildable.
Tool tip: A fluffy powder brush deposits an even layer, says NYC makeup artist Daniel Martin.
Mineral power foundation to try: True Match Naturale Mineral Foundation, $15, L'Oréal Paris

Stick
Best for: Dry skin. (It's cream based.)
Coverage: Medium.
Tool tip: "'Stripe' your face and blend with your fingers," says Quinn.
Stick foundation to try: Fit Me Shine-Free Gel Foundation Stick, $9, Maybelline New York

Cream Compact
Best for: Very dry skin and camouflaging birthmarks and scars.
Coverage: Full.
Tool tip: A slightly damp sponge helps the cream glide on smoothly.
Cream compact foundation to try: Cococin Cream Compact, $32, Lorac

Tinted Moisturizer
Best for: Normal to dry skin and lucky brides with nothing to conceal.
Coverage: Very light.
Tool tip: This is sheer—perfect for a quick swipe with your fingers.
Tinted moisturizer to try: Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, $27, Clinique

As for those on-trend BB and CC creams? Well, here's how the relatively new skin cream alphabet breaks down:

BB: Tinted moisturizers on steroids, BB creams (short for "beauty balm") deliver extra bennies like blurring fine lines and enlarged pores.
BB cream to try: Naked Skin Beauty Balm, $34, Urban Decay

CC: These "color correctors" tackle redness, boost radiance, and zap age spots.
CC cream to try: Tone Rehab CC Cream, $12, Covergirl + Olay

DD: Acting as "daily defenders," these babies are packed with sunscreen and damage-blocking antioxidants.
DD cream to try: DD Cream, $38, Dermadoctor

Could it Be?! Heidi Klum and Seal Are Reportedly Back Together

Heidi Klum Seal back together

Photo: Getty Images

Rumors are swirling that Heidi Klum and Seal are reconciling—and we have just one thing to say about that: Please let it be true! TheFIX, MSN Australia's celebrity section, circulated reports yesterday that the couple, who got divorced in 2012 after nearly seven years of marriage and three children, is spending lots of quality time together.

"Late last year, their daughter Lou was quite upset about not seeing her dad as much," a source told TheFix. "In the end, the couple decided to co-parent a lot more, attending sports games together, etc."

Apparently, all of that quality co-parenting time turned into late night dinners and, eventually, sleepovers. "They're even kissing in front of the kids now. It's very much back on," the source tells TheFIX.

It seems, though, that this reunion is based on more than just making their children happy. Klum recently split with her former bodyguard Martin Kirsten, whom she began dating soon after she and Seal separated, and a source told TheFix that the Project Runway ended their relationship after she learned he was planning to propose on Valentine's Day.

"He was about to propose and she knew that the time was now to cut it off in order to not hurt his feelings and have anything drag out that would be unpleasant for him, for her, and for the kids," the source said. "She still had feeling for Seal so couldn't let her relationship with Martin go to the next step."

When they were married, we admired the lovebirds for always speaking highly of each other, renewing their wedding vows every year, and being totally committed to raising their adorable family together. If these reports are true, then we just know that love is more alive than ever!

Engagement Rings for Men: Would You Buy One for Your Guy?

Engagement Rings for Men

He put an engagement ring on your finger, but would you put one on his? Surprisingly, people are buzzing about "mangagement" rings these days—the concept of engagement rings for men.

See more: The Secret to Making Your Marriage Go the Distance Is...

More than one star has embraced the idea: Michael Buble was spotted wearing his ring months before his wedding to his Argentinian fiancée, and reportedly told a Canadian audience this about the custom: "The boy also wears the engagement ring. That's what she tells me anyway." And, when actress and singer Jennifer Hudson's boyfriend proposed to her, she responded with a five-carat Neil Lane diamond ring for him to wear, too.

Those (adorable!) guys might be in the minority, but a survey of engaged couples conducted last year by Robbins Brothers, a national jewelry chain, revealed some surprising thoughts on wedding traditions: More than half of the male respondents (67 percent, to be exact) said they'd definitely be "open" to wearing an engagement ring.

See more: Why for Happy Couples (Like You!) a Big Fight Is No Big Deal

It's already a cultural practice in some countries. Kevin, a married man in South Orange, NJ, shares, "My wife is Swedish, and in Sweden it's tradition for the man to wear an engagement ring. So when we got engaged, I wanted to wear one, too. It wasn't like a big diamond or anything, it was my wedding band—I just put it on early. I thought it was a nice nod to her culture, and she very much appreciated that I was willing to do it."

What do you think about men's engagement rings: Would you buy one for your man—and would he wear it?

How to Shape Your Eyebrows: Expert Tips From Joey Healy

everything-you-need-to-shape-your-eyebrows-630.jpg

Photo: Getty Images

The next best thing to getting your eyebrows professionally shaped for your wedding? Getting pro plucker Joey Healy to help you do them yourself! We grilled the celeb shaper on how brides can find the perfect eyebrow shapes for their face.

Brides: What does every bride need in her eyebrow arsenal?

Joey Healy: The first thing is daylight—that's really important. Then you'll need a duo brow brush that has an angled portion on one side and a comb on the other. Look for sharp stainless steel slanted tweezers, because they give really steady control and precision.

As for color, I generally believe the two best things are waterproof pencils and powders. If you have a nice basic eyebrow shape and want to infuse it with body, powder can make your eyebrows appear denser. Pencil is for correcting perimeters, like if you have a scar, gap, or want to lengthen the tail.

See more: Basic Wedding Day Beauty Products No Bride Should Go Without

Brides: We've heard that eyebrows should be "sisters, not twins"—meaning they don't need to be exact mirror images of each other. True or false?

JH: It's kind of a "frue" because most people who say that to you aren't particularly skilled at shaping—it's an excuse. The truth is that symmetry is beautiful and unequivocally flattering. Naturally things aren't perfectly symmetrical, but the goal is to create the illusion of symmetry. Sometimes brows don't even look like sisters—they look more like third-removed cousins! Maybe it's more like they should be fraternal twins.

Brides: How do you figure out the best eyebrow shape for your face?

JH: It seems elementary, but your eyebrows should be on your brow bone. People don't think about that! Shaping is personal. You have to play against the angles of your face. If you have a super angular face, you want a softer, rounder brow. If you have a rounder face, you want a straighter brow. That rule is true with everything, even eyeglasses; you have to strike a balance.

See more: Three Easy Steps to Gorgeous DIY Wedding-Day Eye Makeup

Brides: Let's talk color. How many shades darker or lighter should your brows be than your hair?

JH: Your brows shouldn't stand out crazily; they should be harmonious with the rest of your complexion. Assess the undertone of your hair and find a corresponding color. Are you warm, cool or neutral? If you're strawberry blonde, you need something with a little warmth in it. Go honey. Neutral tones need something in between. If you have blue undertones, like with Indian or Asian hair, you need cool tones. Then it's just about how much product you apply.

Brides: What about brow tinting? Do you recommend it?

JH: I tint my own brows—it's a good way to intensify them—but I cancel half of the tinting appointments I get because it isn't for everyone. It's good for people who have gray hair and light eyebrows. Tinting only colors the hair, not the skin underneath, so it puts every last hair front and center.

Living Together Versus Getting Married

Cohabiting before marriage is more common than ever these days. In fact, according to the most recent data available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics, 48 percent of women between the ages of 15 and 44 were living with a man they aren't married to!

See more: 5 Surprising Ways Marriage Is Good for Women

But do these arrangements last? According to the data, at least 40 percent of cohabiting relationships transitioned to marriage within the first three years, 32 percent remained the same, and 27 percent broke up.

These are interesting numbers that come on the heels of a new study, conducted by University of Virginia researchers, that finds not only do our brains recognize the difference between living together versus being married, but we may even feel "safer" with the idea of marriage.

This was all confirmed in a series of brain scans of cohabiting and married couples that revealed something fascinating: In those who were not married, the brain recognized the lack of commitment and was less able to calm and relax.

"We really pay close attention to when it's safe to let down our guard and to outsource our stress response to our social networks," explains the author of the study, Jim Coan, a psychologist at the University of Virginia. So according to his study, and others, score one for marriage, because it, apparently, helps us manage stress better.

The cantor has chosen her music. The ketubah's been ordered. The kiddish cup's been dusted off. The band leader has decided when to play the hora. We are ready for our Jewish wedding...me and my non-Jewish fiancé.

Planning an interfaith wedding could be tricky, I'm sure. But I happen to be very lucky that my husband-to-be is the most open-minded, easy-going person I have ever met. Also, while he was raised in the United Methodist Church, went to Sunday school, and was confirmed, he doesn't describe himself as religious, and he didn't bring any religious traditions (except a Christmas tree!) with him into our home and family.

Had he, our wedding and life together would be much different.

Since I'm the one with strong religious ties, with parents who are very involved in our synagogue, traditions that go with every holiday, and the desire to raise our children Jewish...we are going to have a (more or less) traditional Jewish wedding.

I believe the wedding sets the tone for the marriage in many ways, so my main concern has been making sure that Brian and his family are comfortable with every step of the ceremony. To ensure that's the case, we discussed each detail with the Cantor who will be officiating. We decided that any time she reads something in Hebrew, she will also translate it in English. We will be standing under a chuppah, drinking from a kiddish cup, and Brian will break a glass at the end of the ceremony—all traditionally Jewish—so she will explain their significance to our guests. Inclusion is key and I'm hoping we do a good job of it.

The party will also have some traditional Jewish elements—the hora, the chair hoisting, and the blessings over wine and bread—but again, I'm lucky enough that Brian and his family recognize all of these as celebratory.

My best advice in planning your interfaith ceremony is communication. Make sure everyone understands what the other family wants and why—and be willing to compromise. Remember though, this is supposed to be fun! So raise your glass to a peaceful, beautiful interfaith ceremony. L'chaim!

Our New Olympic Crush, T.J. Oshie, Is Engaged—And a Dad-to-Be!

T.J. Oshie may be going for the gold as part of the U.S. Olympic hockey team (who, by the way, played in the Quarterfinal today in Sochi!), but he's won something even more important at home—the heart of fiancée Lauren Cosgrove.

Oshie met his love in North Dakota while the two attended college. Now the pair, both of whom are Minnesota natives, live together in St. Louis, where Oshie plays forward for The Blues.

The hockey heartthrob's four-goal shootout this past Saturday led to a Team USA win over Russia and made him a instant star in the states. And Cosgrove? Well, she's become an instant celeb, too (Hello, People story!). And The International Business Times reports that the bombshell hockey-wife-to-be gained almost 5,000 followers just because of her honey's weekend win.

Oshie proposed to Cosgrove, his girlfriend of three years, on their third anniversary, right before he left for Sochi. But a wedding isn't the only exciting event in the couple's future—they're also about to become parents! Cosgrove is eight months pregnant, and joked that the U.S. hockey team's exciting win nearly caused her to go in labor! (See the adorable Instagram of her bump, below.) "A slew of emotions came over me when T.J. scored the final goal," Cosgrove told St. Louis Today about the big win. "There's so much going on in our lives. I wish I was over there, but being 33 weeks pregnant, I'd only last an hour and then I'd have to be horizontal."

We're totally smitten with the adorable pair, and with their newfound celebrity, we're sure their wedding will be one to watch.

We love Cosgrove's ultra-glam halo-set engagement ring (well done, T.J.!) and killer body, we're betting that when it comes time to choose a wedding dress she'll go for something sexy like a luxe silk sheath with a low-cut back or a glitzy body-hugging mermaid gown. And with their northern roots and his affinity for the ice, we can totally see the pair going for a glam winter wedding—luscious winter-themed cakes, furs, crackling fireplace and all!

Good luck—on and off the ice—to this golden couple!

A Formal Destination Wedding at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Like two Hollywood A-listers intent on keeping their relationship a secret, Tiffany and Josh kept their office relationship under wraps for an impressive 11 months. "No one at the office new about it," she says. "They were shocked when I came into work wearing an engagement ring!" Josh had surprised Tiffany with a trip to the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, proposing at sunset with rosé champagne on ice and an arrangement of her favorite flowers at the ready. "I should have known when I saw the champagne, but he totally caught me off-guard," Tiffany remembers.

Once the secret was out, there was no need to wait. The couple planned their Hawaiian destination wedding in just eight months, with help from the wedding team at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. "We didn't want Hawaiian shirts and flip flops," says Tiffany. "The vision was beach elegant, with a black tie vibe." Lush, all-white flowers and a champagne bar created a formal, yet comfortable, atmosphere, and on March 2nd, 2013, the couple said "I do" in the Hawaiian sunshine.

Swirling calligraphy set the tone on the couple's classic invitation, while splits of champagne in the welcome bags invited guests to a nightclub-inspired after party.

"I tried on so many wedding gowns in several different salons, but my experience at Vera Wang was the best," says Tiffany. "I fell in love with the swirling ruffles of this ball gown!" She worked with the salon to customize a veil and sash to top her gown.

Tiffany had her initials sewn into the bodice of her gown for her 'something blue.' White satin pumps and a lace-edged veil, both by Vera Wang, completed her ensemble.

The bride carried an all-white bouquet of lisianthus, roses, and orchids, tied with a white ribbon. Tiffany loved the petal-inspired look of her gown, which was formal but airy enough for an outdoor Hawaiian wedding. "I had a 'first look' with my aunts and female cousins. We drank champagne and took family photos, and it's a memory I'll always cherish," she says.

Josh paired his classic Brooks Brothers tuxedo with monogrammed cufflinks from Tiffany & Co., which were a gift from the bride.

Each guest's chair featured a white orchid lei, giving a lush garden feel to the simple outdoor ceremony space.

The aisle was covered with a thick layer of white blooms. The altar, overlooking the ocean, was draped with orchids, roses, and hydrangeas.

The flower girls wore white organza dresses and floral crowns, and tossed white orchids as they made their way down the aisle. The ring bearers were island-formal in navy blazers, khaki pants, and cobalt blue ties.

The couple's ceremony was a combination of traditional and Hawaiian wedding ceremonies. They had no bridesmaids or groomsmen. "I've been a bridesmaid 14 times," says Tiffany. "I'm not sure how I would have picked!"

After the ceremony, guests sipped Mint Mango Mojitos, Big Island Mai Tais, and Hualalai Lemonade. Guests were also treated to a champagne bar set with Hawaiian juices for a tropical take on the Bellini. Mr. and Mrs. signs designated Tiffany and Joshua's seats at the sunset dinner reception.

Low all-white arrangements of orchids, roses, tulips, Calla lilies, and roses decorated the tables. Each guest's place was topped with a monogrammed napkin and a single white and pink cymbidium orchid. The trees around the reception area, which was set up in the property's amphitheater, were strung with paper lanterns and white orchid garlands.

The garlands and lanterns created a magical atmosphere on the resort's grounds.

Tiffany and Josh kept the flavor of their wedding cake island-appropriate. "We served guava chiffon cake layered with lilikoi cream and buttercream icing," she says. The cascading sugar flower was a dramatic finishing touch.

"We had a costume change before the after-party," says Tiffany. The couple entered through an explosion of confetti cannons as they were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Woods. Lounge-style seating and bottle service created a nightclub vibe, with magnums of champagne on ice.

After the wedding, the couple spent a few more days in Hawaii, at the Four Seasons Resort Maui. Then, in June, they were off to Europe for a three-week trip through Switzerland and Italy.

Tiffany's advice is to hire an amazing photographer and videographer. "There are so many little details and moments you might miss, and having them there to capture it is worth the investment!"

What's a Surefire Way to Plan a Wedding at a Restaurant?

So, you're thinking of skipping the ballroom and banquet hall and celebrating your wedding at your favorite restaurant instead. We love it! But if you're worried about how to pull off this type of reception, our wedding etiquette experts are here to answer your questions in our daily post.

We're thinking of having our wedding at our favorite restaurant. How can we pull it off?

Hosting your wedding celebration at a restaurant whose cuisine and ambiance you know and love is such a smart idea. Not only are you guaranteed a delicious meal, but you also won't have to sweat the details since everything—from chairs to chafing dishes to a check room—is already in place. Just be sure to keep a couple of things in mind:

Guest list
Most restaurants are smaller, more intimate spaces, so keep your guest list at about 100 for a cocktail reception and about 60 guests for a more formal sit-down dinner.

Cost
The cost of a restaurant wedding depends in large part on how much of the place you'll be using. If you plan to take over the entire facility, you'll most likely have to compensate the owner for all the business he will be giving up on your account. (Most restaurants "turn tables" two to three times an evening, and also depend on bar tabs.) That can be especially pricey on a Saturday, the most profitable night of the week. Still, it is possible to have a restaurant wedding on a limited budget. The most obvious way is by choosing a spot that has more than one dining area, or private dining facilities, so the proprietor can keep his main dining room and bar open.

Also consider a venue that's normally closed during the day (you could host a brunch or lunch), or closed on the weekend (you could have a Saturday-night wedding at a business-district eatery). Finally, ethnic restaurants can be a less pricey option. A well-regarded neighborhood Mexican restaurant can probably throw a wedding at a fraction of the cost of the chi-chi French place just down the street. And didn't you two meet over margaritas?

Decor
Unlike reception halls with neutral decor designed to be transformed with linens, china, and flowers, most restaurants come with their own distinctive look, which might include unusual art and vivid colors. Presumably, any place you're interested in will have a look you're happy with, since chances are you won't be able to alter the general design. Still, every bride wants to customize her space, so make sure that you're allowed to bring in the flowers and other decorations you want.

Here, Brooks's favorite cost-cutting tips. Consider this your cheat sheet to staying in the black.

1. Move three couples to your B list.

4. Decorate with candles and minimize the flowers.

5. Book a photographer for six hours instead of eight.

6. Book a great DJ in lieu of a live band.

7. Eliminate food stations at cocktail hour.

8. Offer a signature cocktail, wine, and beer instead of a full bar.

9. Don't give a choice of entree for dinner.

10. Serve a vegetarian first course and a chicken main course.
